Bittel is situated in Worcestershire between Barnt Green to the south and the Birmmingham district of Longbridge to the north. The location on the Worcester & Birmingham Canal provides boaters with a great base from which to explore the Heart of England.
The nearby Bittell Reservoirs, built to keep the Worcestershire & Birmingham Canal in water, now provide a haven for wildlife, as well as offering opportunities for sailing, fishing and windsurfing.
The site is 258 metres long and provides space for up to 11 vessels, some with an electrical hook up and others without.

From Junction 2 of the M42 motorway take the A441 towards Birmingham. After a mile take the first left from the traffic island onto the B4120 and follow for two miles. At the next traffic island turn right towards Barnt Green. After crossing over the canal take an immediate right turn into the access road for the reservoir and the mooring site.
The site is on the main line canal as it crosses the dam of the Canal & River Trust Bittell Reservoir. The moorings run alongside the access road to the reservoir cottage.

The four water points on site are for the use of all boaters. The nearest Elsan disposal unit, Showers and refuse points can be found at Tardebigge Wharf.
An electric bollard is installed at this berth and is for the use of the permit holder only. Electricity is provided by Smart Meters where electricty is purchased via an online account.
There is no dedicated parking at this site so moorers must make alternative arrangements.
Mooring rings are spaced at 5 metre intervals.
The gates on the access road, when closed, are secured by a padlock which requires a standard key. Keys can be purchased from any Canal & River Trust office, or online on the customer services shop on the Canal & River Trust website.
The site is mid-way between the villages of Barnt Green and Alvechurch, both of which have a good selection of shops, banks, a post office, and pubs.
This is a leisure site and is determined by us to be a mooring site for the storage of boats between leisure use, customers may well spend weekends on this site, and occasionally longer periods, but it is not sold as, or intended to be suitable for long term residential use. This site does not have local authority planning consent for residential use, neither does it have the level of facilities and service expected of such a mooring. As such the offer that we have is only intended to meet the needs of a leisure boater.
