Electricity Pricing

As you may be aware the Trust’s electricity contract with Drax Energy for supply of electricity at your mooring site will come to an end on 31st October 2023.

Our procurement team have negotiated a new contract with EDF and electricity prices for your mooring site will be updated from 1st November 2023 to the following rates:

Total price charged – 26.36 pence per kwh (exclusive of VAT)

Current electricity price up to 31st October 2023 is 22.95 pence per kwh (exclusive of VAT)

Commercial electricity prices have fluctuated significantly over the past 2 years driven by global energy prices. Whilst the new prices represent a small increase on the current price, commercial energy prices have dropped significantly from a year ago where prices reached almost £1.00 per Kwh. The Trust makes no profit on electricity and our supplier rates are passed directly on to you as the end user.

The Trust’s energy contract with EDF runs until 31st March 2024 at which time we will retender as part of a larger contract.

If you were advised in April 2023 of a price increase at the sites noted below, you will remain on the tariff advised until 31st March 2024.
