Additional Information

The facilities building is on the towpath side of the canal, below the lock and just beyond the car park. The water point is above the lock, next to the weir by the lock house. Other water points are available below the lock, at either end of the leisure moorings. Lighting bollards are installed at regular intervals along the pathway next to moored boats. A bin storage area is in the middle of the site, above the lock, and further refuse facilities are below the lock.

The car park is above the facilities building. Further parking is available in a small area, next to the water point above the lock. The moorings are a short walk from either car park.

The access road may be used for loading and unloading purposes only. All vehicles must use the site car parks. The gate on the access road is locked at night to prevent vehicle access.

The Aire and Calder Main Line is a commercial waterway and can be used by freight vessels as well as pleasure craft. Larger freight traffic can cause some movement of the water space within the moorings as they pass. It is advised that you take adequate precautions by fitting fenders to your boat and securely tying off to the bollards provided.

All items must be stored aboard the boat and not on the surrounding land areas.

Bollards may be shared with neighbouring boats to best manage the water space.
