The site is off Stockwith Road which is off the A161. The site entrance is approximately 300 metres from Bridge 85 which crosses the Chesterfield Canal. The site is approximately two miles east of Misterton village which has some shops and take-aways. Gainsborough, where services including a post office, banks, restaurants and pubs, is approximately seven miles to the South East.

Additional Information
All facilities, apart from water points and electricity along the site, are within a short walk at West Stockwith Basin. The showers, toilets and the elsan disposal are in the facilities block beside the Lock Cottage and for the use of all customers. The refuse disposal point is beside the hardstanding area. The pumpout facility is beside the slipway. A diesel point is beside the lock. Facilities Block and/or waste bins are provided by and under the control of the local waterway, they do not form part of the mooring agreement. Car parking areas are also in the adjacent basin, all of which are accessed with a standard CRT key. If you do not already have one, or require additional please you will be able to purchase them via the Canal & River Trust online shop.. Please note there is NO vehicle access on to the linear moorings. All berths on this area of the West Stockwith site have electricity connection provided through Smart Meters. West Stockwith Yacht Club is on the west side of the basin. There is a members' clubhouse which opens Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings and lunchtime on Sundays. IMPORTANT NOTES: All items must be stored on the boat and not the surrounding land areas. Mooring rings are shared with neighbouring boats to best manage the water space. There is a slipway in the basin managed by a third party. This is a leisure site and is determined by us to be a mooring site for the storage of boats between leisure use, customers may well spend weekends on this site, and occasionally longer periods, but it is not sold as, or intended to be suitable for long term residential use. This site does not have local authority planning consent for residential use, neither does it have the level of facilities and service expected of such a mooring.
