The Droitwich Canals have been reborn from a derelict channel to become a thriving boating route and a peaceful retreat for the local community. Netherwich Basin is perfectly positioned for boaters wishing to explore the attractions of Droitwich, the cathedral city of Worcester, and the broad waters of the River Severn.
There are 10 mooring berths for permit holders on these grp surfaced pontoons, which are suitable for narrow-beam vessels.

To reach the site from the M5 junction 5, approach Droitwich along the A38 Roman Way. At the A38/A442 roundabout, turn left onto Kidderminster Road. After going under the railway bridge, turn immediately right into a small parking area, opposite the Railway Inn. The mooring site is accessible on foot from the path to the left of the Railway Inn, through Vines Park.

There is one water point at Netherwich Basin, which is located at the end of the visitor mooring pontoons. There is a locked refuse disposal compound within Vines Park, located near to the park access point from Kidderminster Road. The facilities listed are provided by and under the control of the local waterway, they do not form part of the mooring agreement.
There are no elsan or pump-out facilities on the junction and barge canals. Facilities are available at Diglis, Stourport and Tardebigge (elsan only). The nearest alternative water points can be found at Diglis Basin, Hanbury wharf, Bridge 42 Stoke Works and Stourport.
Car parking is not available at this site and there is no direct vehicle access so moorers must make alternative arrangements.
The main access gate into the pontoons has a chain with a standard CRT padlock. The permit holders section of the site is accessed via a further padlocked gate inside the main gate, off the main pontoon. Access onto this section of the moorings is for our mooring permit holders only and the padlock has a unique combination code.
Droitwich is the nearest town centre and is approximately half a mile from the site.
This is a leisure site and is determined by us to be a mooring site for the storage of boats between leisure use, customers may well spend weekends on this site, and occasionally longer periods, but it is not sold as, or intended to be suitable for long term residential use. This site does not have local authority planning consent for residential use, neither does it have the level of facilities and service expected of such a mooring. As such the offer that we have is only intended to meet the needs of a leisure boater.

The perimeter of the site is accessible to view, however, the entrance onto the pontoons has a locked gate. Please phone the Moorings Manager if you need access onto the pontoons.
