Monk Meadow L1

Located within a mile of Gloucester City Centre, the Basin at Monk Meadow was opened in 1892 originally to provide quay-space for the timber trade. It now serves as an off-line marina and lies close to local shops and amenities, as well as the fascinating Gloucester Waterways Museum.

The layout of the moorings allows for small and large craft, with berth sizes at 8m, 18.5m and 20m in length. With 40 berths, it is one of our largest sites in the South West of England.

IMPORTANT NOTES: The land surrounding Monk Meadow Basin is earmarked for re-development. Demolition works started in Dec-17 and the clearance phase of the development land is expected to take 12 months. During this period there may be some disturbance to mooring customers.

No vehicular access will be permitted during the demolition phase of the re-development of this land, which is likely to take a year. Therefore, mooring customers will need to park off-site.

Once the building site has been cleared, the construction of the residential dwellings will begin, which is scheduled to take place over the following 2 years, for completion by the end of 2020.
