Bridge Inn Horton L1 Leisure

Bridge Inn Horton Moorings is situated amidst rich agricultural lands that flank the Kennet & Avon Canal in Wiltshire.

The moorings are located next to the popular Bridge Inn pub and local amenities and services can be found in the nearby village of Horton.

The site is approximately 140m long and provides space for up to 7 vessels moored against a wooden pontoon structure, the off-side bank of the canal.

Nearest Road

The mooring site is in the village of Horton, approximately three miles from Devizes.

Devizes town centre offers a wide range of shops and services including supermarkets, banks and post offices. The Bridge Inn pub and restaurant has a beer garden with views of the canal.

To reach the site, approach from the A361 along Horton Road. Road access to the site is from the west side of Horton Bridge (124) at the Bridge Inn pub.

The nearest facilities for water, pump-out, elsan, diesel and gas is to the east of the site at Honeystreet, approximately five and a half miles away, or to the west at Devizes Flight, approximately three and a half miles away.

**Please note that the water point located on the adjacent visitor moorings is out of use until further notice**

The nearest refuse facilities can be found at Devizes Lock 44, or at All Cannings - both of which are approximately 3.6 miles away in either direction.

Mooring cleats are spaced at 5 metre intervals along a wooden pontoon, which has an anti-slip strips applied on its surface.

Access to the site is along a footpath from the car park at the rear of the Bridge Inn pub. The use of the car park for our mooring customers is by agreement with the pub landlord and so we cannot guaranteed or reserve parking spaces here.

This is a leisure site and is determined by us to be a mooring site for the storage of boats between leisure use, customers may well spend weekends on this site, and occasionally longer periods, but it is not sold as, or intended to be suitable for long term residential use. This site does not have local authority planning consent for residential use, neither does it have the level of facilities and service expected of such a mooring. As such the offer that we have is only intended to meet the needs of a leisure boater.

There is access to the site via a footpath from the pub car park at the rear of the Bridge Inn Public House, so please have consideration for the publican as well as the other customers who moor there.

All customer items must be stored on their boat and not on any of the surrounding land at the mooring site.
