Calveley Offside - L1 Moorings (South) L1 Leisure

Calveley is a small Georgian village which lies 5 miles north west of Nantwich in Cheshire. The moorings provide boaters with great opportunities to explore the full extent of the Shropshire Union Canal (or 'Shroppie' as its known). The deep cuttings and high embankments which characterise this part of the canal network can be enjoyed for miles along with stunning sweeping views towards the Welsh Marshes.

Some local amenities can be found in the small village of Calverley with a wider choice of restaurants, pubs and shops available in Nantwich.

In total, the Trust manages 29 moorings in Calverley which are spread across three areas, some sited on the towpath and some against the off-side bank.

This is a leisure site and is determined by us to be a mooring site for the storage of boats between leisure use, customers may well spend weekends on this site, and occasionally longer periods, but it is not sold as, or intended to be suitable for long term residential use. This site does not have local authority planning consent for residential use, neither does it have the level of facilities and service expected of such a mooring. As such the offer that we have is only intended to meet the needs of a leisure boater.
