Fradley is a popular junction of the canal network where the Coventry and Trent & Mersey Canals meet. The junction is in the middle of a five-lock flight, situated just a few miles from Lichfield in Staffordshire it provides boaters with a great range of cruising options.
The mooring site is just over 80m long and provides space for up to five vessels moored against the off-side.

From the A38 Lichfield / Derby truck road, take the Alrewas junction and travel west along the A513 towards Kings Bromley. After approximately two miles turn left into Hay End Lane at Orgreave. Immediately after the canal bridge turn right into the Canal & River Trust site access road. The access road is adjacent to the linear moorings.

Facilities, including drinking water, refuse & elsan disposal, pump-out, toilets and showers can be found within the Canal & River Trust site at Fradley Junction. There is also a cafe at the site.
There is a pay & display car park alongside the site and berth holders will receive one free parking permit. There is also limited free parking adjacent to the site.
A public house is within walking distance of the site, next to the canal junction. Lichfield is five miles to the south.
Fradley Junction is a hive of activity, with people walking, boating, enjoying nature, or taking a break in the café or pub. Fradley Junction is the spot where the Trent & Mersey Canal and the Coventry Canal meet.
You can explore the area in detail using the interactive installations. Maps, interpretation panels, guided walks, audio trails and ‘swell maps’ for the visually impaired all help you to discover the history and wildlife of the area. Pond-dipping and bird-watching are on offer at Fradley Pool Nature Reserve. The pool also has an accessible fishing peg.
This is a leisure site and is determined by us to be a mooring site for the storage of boats between leisure use, customers may well spend weekends on this site, and occasionally longer periods, but it is not sold as, or intended to be suitable for long term residential use. This site does not have local authority planning consent for residential use, neither does it have the level of facilities and service expected of such a mooring. As such the offer that we have is only intended to meet the needs of a leisure boater.
