Woodlesford Lock L1 Leisure

Located just five miles from Leeds, Woodlesford Lock on the Aire & Calder Navigation, is one of the best places to escape the city and enjoy some beautiful countryside.

Close to the canal is Woodlesford village offering moorers local facilities and amenities including, pubs, a café, shops and small park.

The moorings site provides space for up 16 boats across two areas, one with high level lighting and one without.

Facilities blocks and / or waste bins are provided by and under the control of the local waterway, they do not form part of the mooring agreement Car Parking - The car park directly next to the moorings holds approximately 8 to 10 cars and is available on a first come, first served basis. There are spaces in another car park adjacent to Woodlesford Lock which is an open car park provided by the local waterway, moorers can use it but they do not have any priority over others at this site. All other facilities are shared with passing boaters. The site has a gate with a site specific lock for access to the moorings car park and you will need a key if you wish to use the parking area. The key is available for a £50 deposit. This is a leisure site and is determined by us to be a mooring site for the storage of boats between leisure use, customers may well spend weekends on this site, and occasionally longer periods, but it is not sold as, or intended to be suitable for long term residential use. This site does not have local authority planning consent for residential use, neither does it have the level of facilities and service expected of such a mooring.
