Clarence Dock L1 Leisure

Historic Clarence Dock was originally used by barges to unload goods, mainly coal, from the Leeds and Liverpool Canal and Aire and Calder Navigation. Now it provides 20 serviced leisure moorings within close proximity to Leeds City Centre.

The moorings are set amongst an attractive backdrop of apartments, shops, restaurants and the Royal Armouries Museum.

The moorings are within Clarence Dock, just off the River Aire (Aire and Calder Navigation) in the centre of Leeds. Pedestrian access is 150 metres walk from either Armouries Way or Chadwick Street. The site can also be accessed on foot from the Royal Armouries. The nearest main carriageway is the A61, Black Bull Street at Crown Point Bridge.

There is a service bollard between each berth offering a water tap and a 16 amp electric socket with meter supply per boat. Electricity is provided by Smart Meters where payment is made via an on-line portal. All other listed facilities are 300 metres away, below Leeds Lock, and are for the use of all boaters. PLEASE NOTE - the sanitary station at Leeds is currently closed, a temporary Elsan disposal facility is available on site for mooring agreement holders use. Facilities Block and / or waste bins are provided by and under the control of the local waterway, they do not form part of the mooring agreement” There is no vehicle access or parking at this site. The nearest car park is approximately 250 metres away, opposite the Royal Armouries. Access to the pontoons is through a small two bar gate which requires a standard CRT key. Please refer to site specific T&C's for further information. This is a leisure site and is determined by us to be a mooring site for the storage of boats between leisure use, customers may well spend weekends on this site, and occasionally longer periods, but it is not sold as, or intended to be suitable for long term residential use. This site does not have local authority planning consent for residential use, neither does it have the level of facilities and service expected of such a mooring.
