Keadby Lock L1 Leisure

Keadby Lock is located on the Stainforth & Keadby Canal and is the gateway to the Humber and Nottingham via the River Trent.

This leisure mooring site, which is located to the west of the lock, has space for up to 5 vessels moored against the off-side bank.

Facilities block and / or waste bins are provided by and under the control of the local waterway, they do not form part of the mooring agreement The site access road and two water points are for the use of berth holders only. All other facilities, including water point on the towpath, are for the use of all boaters. Mooring rings and bollards are installed at the site and may be shared with neighbouring boats to best manage the water space. Access through either gate requires a key available to mooring customers only. Keys can be purchased from the Moorings Team for a refundable deposit of £50 each. Refunds will be given when the key is returned with a valid receipt. The access gates must remain locked at all times. IMPORTANT NOTES: All customer items must be stored on boats and not on the surrounding land areas. The pedestrian/vehicle entrance gates must remain locked at all times. This is a leisure site and is determined by us to be a mooring site for the storage of boats between leisure use, customers may well spend weekends on this site, and occasionally longer periods, but it is not sold as, or intended to be suitable for long term residential use. This site does not have local authority planning consent for residential use, neither does it have the level of facilities and service expected of such a mooring. Viewing Arrangements
A good view of the site can be gained from most areas around the site. Access to the site is through either the pedestrian gate or vehicle gate from Station Road. The pedestrian gate leads to a concrete pathway running parallel to moored boats. The vehicle gate leads onto a dirt track, also running parallel to moored boats, and the brushed concrete pedestrian path. A small vehicle turning area is at the end of the site. A closer inspection can be arranged with the Moorings Manager.
