The Lowside moorings are located adjacent to Lincoln University Halls of Residence, between the Brayford Pool and the Canal & River Trust Facilities block.
The site is accessed via Campus Way, which is off the B1273. The City centre is approximately one and a half to two miles away.
There is a customer service facilities block at the site which includes an elsan disposal point, toilet, shower and a separate disabled toilet and shower.
The pump-out facility is at the water's edge in front of the facilities block and the refuse disposal point can be found to the rear of the block. There are a number of water points along the mooring site.
Facilities Block and/or waste bins are provided by and under the control of the local waterway, they do not form part of the mooring agreement.
Some lighting has been installed on the moorings.
Parking is available to the West of the Depot building. Parking is not permitted on the access road. An open car park provided by the local waterway, moorers can use it but they do not have any priority over others at this site.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please note the height restriction at the Glory Hole, Lincoln is 9ft 2ins (2.79 metres).
This is a leisure site and is determined by us to be a mooring site for the storage of boats between leisure use, customers may well spend weekends on this site, and occasionally longer periods, but it is not sold as, or intended to be suitable for long term residential use. This site does not have local authority planning consent for residential use, neither does it have the level of facilities and service expected of such a mooring. As such the offer that we have is only intended to meet the needs of a leisure boater.
