This towpath mooring site is located near the terminus of the Grand Union Canal Market Harborough Arm, offering easy access to the town centre and surrounding countryside. Reach the site via the Union Wharf ‘No Through Road’ off the B6047, next to the Union Inn pub. From there, follow the footpath around the basin and west along the canal arm. Pedestrian access is also available from Fairway Road.

- The entrance to Market Harborough Basin is from the B6047, taking the Union Wharf 'No Through Road', next to the Union Inn pub. To reach the towpath moorings from here, follow the path on foot around the Basin and west down the Market Harborough Arm. Pedestrian access is also available from the neighbouring residential area, which is accessed from Fairway Road, off the B6047 Leicester Road.
Market Harborough town centre is approximately half a mile south east of the moorings and provides a wide range of shops and services. Several businesses are in the immediate area of the mooring site, including a restaurant and pub.

- Drinking water points are available along the newly refurbished towpath. The nearest refuse disposal, elsan disposal, and pump-out facilities are in the services area of Market Harborough Basin, approximately 200 metres to the east of the site. Facilities are for the use of all boaters.
Designated car parking is not available at this site so moorers must make alternative arrangements. There is public, visitor only parking next to the Basin.
This is a leisure site and is determined by us to be a mooring site for the storage of boats between leisure use, customers may well spend weekends on this site, and occasionally longer periods, but it is not sold as, or intended to be suitable for long term residential use. This site does not have local authority planning consent for residential use, neither does it have the level of facilities and service expected of such a mooring. As such the offer that we have is only intended to meet the needs of a leisure boater.
