Hatton Top Lock L1 Leisure

Hatton Top Lock towpath moorings are situated at the top of the famous flight of 21 locks known as the Stairway to Heaven. Its location on the Grand Union Canal is surrounded by picturesque scenery, some good local pubs as well as a popular canalside café.

This linear site is approximately 78m long and provides space for up to 4 vessels moored against the towpath.

Nearest Road
Travelling North from Warwick on the A4177 towards Solihull. Turn left onto Canal road, signposted Hatton Locks. At the end of Canal Road, turn right and follow road upto lock café. Moorings can be found approx 50m from cafe car park.

There is a water point located by the lock landing, and an Elsan Unit, that can be found approximately 40m from moorings, at the top end of the access track that runs behind the cafe building. There is a refuse compound located in the main car park area, close to the CRT Hatton Office & maintenance yard. The refuse compound is located to the left by the car park entrance. There are two compounds there; one is secured with a BWB padlock, which is for the use of boaters. The other side of the compound, is for the sole use of the cafe, and this has a combination code padlock securing it. These customer facilities are not a dedicated facility for the Hatton Top Lock mooring customers, and do not form part of the mooring contract, as they are open for use by passing boats, as well as other canal users. Leisure Use Only This site is intended for leisure use. Overnight stays and occasional longer visits are welcome, but it is not suitable for full-time residential use and lacks planning consent or infrastructure for long-term living.” What3Words: ///theme.darkest.prettiest
