Braunston Towpath L1 Leisure

Situated close to Daventry in Northamptonshire, Braunston is the meeting point of the Grand Union and Oxford Canals. The small village thrived for over 150 years on the canal trade - carrying goods from the Midlands to London. Now it is a centre for leisure activities and boasts by far and away the busiest stretch of canal anywhere in the country.

There are two permanent long term mooring sites in the area - the towpath mooring site is situated on the Grand Union Canal. Approximately 100m long, it provides space for up to 6 vessels.

This is a leisure site and is determined by us to be a mooring site for the storage of boats between leisure use, customers may well spend weekends on this site, and occasionally longer periods, but it is not sold as, or intended to be suitable for long term residential use. This site does not have local authority planning consent for residential use, neither does it have the level of facilities and service expected of such a mooring. As such the offer that we have is only intended to meet the needs of a leisure boater.
