Dodford Wharf is situated in open countryside on the Grand Union Canal eight miles to the south east of Braunston.
The site is approximately 150m long and provides space for up to 9 vessels moored against the towpath.

- The mooring site is just off the A5 at Weedon and is close to Bridge 23 (Dodford Road Bridge). Approximately half a mile north of the A45/A5 crossroads in Weedon, take the left turn towards Dodford and the canal bridge is 160 metres away. A gated slope next to the bridge leads to the towpath. Weedon village, where services including hotels, pubs, a church, shops and bus links are available, is less than two miles from the site. Daventry town centre is approximately four miles to the west.

- The nearest refuse facilities are 1.5 miles south of the site, near to Weedon cemetery. A drinking water point is available at Stowe Hill, a further half mile south. Buckby Top Lock has elsan, drinking water and refuse disposal facilities and is approximately three and a half miles north. Please be aware, the aforementioned facilities are provided by and under the control of the local waterway, they do not form part of the mooring agreement. There is no designated car parking for this site so moorers must make alternative arrangements. This is a leisure site and is determined by us to be a mooring site for the storage of boats between leisure use, customers may well spend weekends on this site, and occasionally longer periods, but it is not sold as, or intended to be suitable for long term residential use. This site does not have local authority planning consent for residential use, neither does it have the level of facilities and service expected of such a mooring.
