Weedon (or Weedon Bec) is an interesting village built around the Grand Union Canal in Northamptonshire.
It is conveniently close to places of interest, sporting and leisure venues including Silverstone motor racing circuit, the Althorp Estate and Stoke Bruerne waterways museum.
The site is approximately 170m long and provides space for up to 9 boats moored against the off-side bank.
The site is on the off-side of the canal, adjacent to St Peters Church, Weedon, and there is a gate leading into the site.
The site can be reached from the A5, travelling approximately quarter of a mile along Church Street, towards Lower Weedon. Once under the canal bridge, Bridge 25 Weedon Bec, take a sharp right turn into the footpath next to the Church and up the flight of steep steps to the site.
The nearest water tap is on the towpath at Stowe Hill, approximately 900 metres south east of the moorings. An elsan disposal point can be found at Buckby Top Lock, five miles to the north.
Please be aware, the facilities mentioned are provided by and under the control of the local waterway, they do not form part of the mooring agreement.
There is no parking at this site so moorers must make their own arrangements.
This is a leisure site and is determined by us to be a mooring site for the storage of boats between leisure use, customers may well spend weekends on this site, and occasionally longer periods, but it is not sold as, or intended to be suitable for long term residential use. This site does not have local authority planning consent for residential use, neither does it have the level of facilities and service expected of such a mooring. As such the offer that we have is only intended to meet the needs of a leisure boater.
All customer items must be stored on boats and not on any of the surrounding land areas
The mooring site has no restrictions and can be viewed at any time
