- The mooring site is on the off-side of the canal at Bridge 26 (Stowe Hill Bridge), where the canal is crossed by the A5 (Watling Street). Access is via steps from the A5 at Bridge 26. The site is approximately one mile south of Weedon village where local services, including hotels, pubs, shops and bus links to neighbouring towns, are available. The nearest town centre is Daventry, approximately four miles away.

- Drinking water is available on the towpath, opposite the mooring site, although this is provided by and under the control of the local waterway, and does not form part of the mooring agreement. There are no car parking facilities at this site so customers must make alternative arrangements. This site is intended for leisure use.
