Located on the Grand Union Canal, Gayton Moorings are surrounded by the beautiful rolling hills of the Northamptonshire countryside, just off the A43, five miles from Northampton and four miles from Towcester.
The mooring site provides space for up to 3 vessels moored against the off-side bank and a further three against the towpath.

- Facilities, including drinking water, elsan disposal, refuse disposal and toilets, are available approximately 50 metre south of the moorings, at the junction of the Grand Union Canal and the Northampton Arm. Facilities are for the use of all boaters and are provided by and under the control of the local waterway, they do not form part of the mooring agreement.

The mooring site can be accessed from either Bridge 2 on the Northampton Arm or Bridge 47 on the Grand Union. Both bridges are off the Gayton to Milton Malsor road.
