The mooring site is 510 metres long and provides space for up to 28 boats moored against the towpath.

Additional Information

The nearest facilities, including toilet, elsan disposal and drinking water, are in a sanitary station at Batchworth Locks, adjacent to Lock 81. A rubbish disposal facility is available by Chess Basin, approximately 600 metres from the site. These services are provided by and under the control of the local waterway, they do not form part of the mooring agreement.

The site can be accessed along the towpath from Bridge 173 or by the Ebury Way footpath. The moorings start 100 metres above Lock 81.

There is a grass strip adjacent to the bank with a stone towpath.

This is a towpath mooring. The Batchworth Moorers Association manage land adjacent to the mooring site, which can be used as communal garden areas. Details of how to join the Association, and what this entitles berth holders to is available from the Association Members on site. Not all berths on site have garden areas adjacent to them

Car parking is not available at this site so moorers must make alternative arrangements.

This is a leisure site and is determined by us to be a mooring site for the storage of boats between leisure use, customers may well spend weekends on this site, and occasionally longer periods, but it is not sold as, or intended to be suitable for long term residential use. This site does not have local authority planning consent for residential use, neither does it have the level of facilities and service expected of such a mooring. As such the offer that we have is only intended to meet the needs of a leisure boater.
