Bettisfield Moorings are located in the small village of Bettisfield in Shropshire, situated on the popular and picturesque Llangollen canal.
This leisure mooring site is approximately 185m long and currently provides space for up to 10 vessels moored against the off-side bank.

To reach the site, travel along the A495 from Ellesmere taking the turning for the B5063, signed to Wem, and this will cross the canal at Hampton Bank. Continue along the B5063 and take the first road on the left which will take you to Bettisfield Bridge, No. 48. The gate to the car park is before the bridge.
The town of Wem is approximately five miles away from the site and has a number of pubs, a supermarket, some banks and a post office.

The water point can be found at the end of the site, towards Bridge 48 which is due east of the site.
This canal has a shallow profile. and you may need a plank to access/egress your boat at certain points along the moorings
This mooring is suited to a cruiser type craft but can accommodate narrowboats, however we recommend trying the boat before purchase due to depth issues at the site.
This is a leisure site and is determined by us to be a mooring site for the storage of boats between leisure use, customers may well spend weekends on this site, and occasionally longer periods, but it is not sold as, or intended to be suitable for long term residential use. This site does not have local authority planning consent for residential use, neither does it have the level of facilities and service expected of such a mooring. As such the offer that we have is only intended to meet the needs of a leisure boater.
