Lying to the north west of Preston, Pendle Moorings are positioned on a rural stretch of the Lancaster Canal but within easy reach of the M55 motorway.
The site is approximately 165m long and provides space for up to 20 vessels moored against the towpath.
Access to the site is from Catforth Road, which is approximately four and a half miles from Junction 1 of the M55.
The mooring site is approximately three miles North of Cottam.
Vehicle access and parking is available at this site if arranged with the adjacent landowner of and is subject to an additional charge. Please contact the mooring manager to request further details.
The nearest Canal & River Trust facilities, including water, toilets and elsan, are at Bilsborrow, approximately four and a half miles north of the mooring site.
Mooring rings are installed at the site but mooring pins may be needed dependent on boat length and the spacing of rings.
This is a leisure site and is determined by us to be a mooring site for the storage of boats between leisure use, customers may well spend weekends on this site, and occasionally longer periods, but it is not sold as, or intended to be suitable for long term residential use. This site does not have local authority planning consent for residential use, neither does it have the level of facilities and service expected of such a mooring. As such the offer that we have is only intended to meet the needs of a leisure boater.
The mooring site has no access restrictions and can be viewed at any time. Please have consideration for the other moorers on site
