Linking Preston to Kendal, the Lancaster Canal is one of the country’s few coastal canals. Built along the natural lie of the land it offers 41 miles of lock free cruising - the longest stretch in the country.
Moss Lane Moorings are located within the charming market town of Garstang. The off-side mooring is approximately 300m long and provides space for up to 21 boats.

- Canal & River Trust facilities including water, refuse, elsan and pump out are immediately adjacent to the mooring site, on the north side of bridge 63. The facilities are shared with passing boaters. The facilities block and waste bins are provided by and under the control of the local waterway, they do not form part of the mooring agreement” There is no car park at this site so customers must make alternative arrangements. Mooring rings are installed at this site but mooring pins may be needed dependant on boat length and the spacing of rings. A CRT Yale key is required to access the site. Leisure Use Only This site is intended for leisure use. Overnight stays and occasional longer visits are welcome, but it is not suitable for full-time residential use and lacks planning consent or infrastructure for long-term living What3Words: ///symphonic.meanest.loafer
