Haskayne is a small village established around the Leeds & Liverpool Canal on the outskirts of Ormskirk in west Lancashire.
The site allows customers to explore the nearby coastal areas of Southport and Formby, as well as enjoy the beautiful rolling hills and open countryside.
The site is approximately 135m long and provides space for up to 5 boats moored against the towpath.
The mooring site is approximately half a mile from Haskayne and can be accessed from Rosemary Lane, via the A5147 Delf Lane.
The nearest Canal & River Trust facilities, including toilets, elsan and water point, are approximately six miles east of the mooring site at Burscough.
Car parking is not available at this site so customers must make their own arrangements.
Mooring rings are installed on site but mooring pins may be needed dependent on boat length and the spacing of rings.
This is a leisure site and is determined by us to be a mooring site for the storage of boats between leisure use, customers may well spend weekends on this site, and occasionally longer periods, but it is not sold as, or intended to be suitable for long term residential use. This site does not have local authority planning consent for residential use, neither does it have the level of facilities and service expected of such a mooring. As such the offer that we have is only intended to meet the needs of a leisure boater.
