Situated within idyllic west Lancashire countryside in the small town of Burscough, Crabtree Moorings are conveniently situated 15 miles from Preston and within 20 miles of Liverpool. The site on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal has convenient transport links to the coast and an array of leisure and shopping attractions within easy reach.
The linear mooring site is approximately 290m long and provides space for up to 20 vessels moored to the off-side bank.

- The nearest Canal & River Trust facilities, including elsan and water, are at Burscough Bridge which is approximately one mile away at Bridge 32a. The pathway along the moorings is a public right of way. Car parking is not available at this site so customers must make their own arrangements. Mooring rings are installed on site but mooring pins may be needed dependent on boat length and the spacing of rings. Leisure Use Only This site is intended for leisure use. Overnight stays and occasional longer visits are welcome, but it is not suitable for full-time residential use and lacks planning consent or infrastructure for long-term living.
