Rufford Top Lock moorings are on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal just a mile away from the small Lancashire town of Burscough and about half way between Liverpool and Preston.
The mooring site is close to amenities including a good selection of restaurants, shops and pleasant walking routes into the delightful west Lancashire countryside. Good road and rail links also provides convenient access to the coast and other parts of the North West of England.

A water point is available at Bridge 1 and is for the use of all boaters.
The nearest Canal & River Trust facilities, including elsan, refuse and toilets, can be found at Burscough Bridge, approximately one mile away from the site.
Car parking is not available at this site so mooring customers must make alternative arrangements.
This is a leisure site and is determined by us to be a mooring site for the storage of boats between leisure use, customers may well spend weekends on this site, and occasionally longer periods, but it is not sold as, or intended to be suitable for long term residential use. This site does not have local authority planning consent for residential use, neither does it have the level of facilities and service expected of such a mooring. As such the offer that we have is only intended to meet the needs of a leisure boater.
The mooring site has no access restrictions and can be viewed at any time. We would ask that you are considerate of current on site mooring customers.
