The Leeds and Liverpool Canal cuts through the picturesque village of Salterforth which lies in the wider district of Pendle, Lancashire. It provides a convenient location for customers seeking to explore some wonderful countryside and also provides easy access to Burney just 11 miles to the south.
The site is approximately 150m long and provides space for up to 8 vessels moored against the towpath.
Access to the site is from Salterforth Lane, via Kelbrook Road. The mooring site is approximately one and three quarter miles from Barnoldswick.
Facilities blocks and / or waste bins are provided by and under the control of the local waterway, they do not form part of the mooring agreement
The customer car park at the site requires a four digit code to be entered into a coded lock covering the access gate. A public car park is also at the site where a bin store area can be found. This is provided by the local waterway, moorers can use it but they do not have any priority over others at this site
A water point is available opposite the bin store area on the bankside. Facilities are for the use of all boaters.
IMPORTANT NOTES: All customer items must be stored on the boat and not on the surrounding land areas.
Rings may be shared with neighbouring boats to best manage the water space.
This is a leisure site and is determined by us to be a mooring site for the storage of boats between leisure use, customers may well spend weekends on this site, and occasionally longer periods, but it is not sold as, or intended to be suitable for long term residential use. This site does not have local authority planning consent for residential use, neither does it have the level of facilities and service expected of such a mooring. As such the offer that we have is only intended to meet the needs of a leisure boater.
The site can be viewed from the towpath . Please have respect for other users when visiting the site.
