Hawkesbury Junction L1 Leisure

Hawkesbury Junction, affectionately known as Sutton Stop, is a picturesque and historically significant spot where the Coventry Canal meets the Oxford Canal in Warwickshire. Built in 1802, this bustling junction remains one of the busiest and most iconic meeting points on the canal network—rich in character and full of boating activity.

The linear mooring site is located on the Oxford Canal and stretches approximately 210 metres, offering space for up to nine vessels moored along the quiet off-side bank. It’s a fantastic spot for boaters who enjoy being close to a vibrant canal community while still enjoying a peaceful setting.

For added peace of mind, the site is secured with fencing and a padlocked gate. Access keys are available exclusively to berth holders for a refundable deposit of £50, which is returned upon key return with a valid receipt.

Whether you’re stopping for a while or looking for a longer stay, Hawkesbury Junction offers the perfect mix of heritage, convenience, and canal-side charm.
