Banbury Tramway L1 Leisure

Banbury Tramway Moorings are located in the medieval market town of Banbury on the Oxford Canal. The location provides boaters with an excellent base from which to explore this interesting town, as well as surrounding countryside and winding course of the South Oxford Canal.

The location offers boaters a good starting point for plenty of good circular cruising routes along the Oxford and Grand Union Canals. Warwick, Stratford-Upon-Avon and Oxford are also within easy reach by boat or by car.

Four drinking water taps are situated along the towpath. Water, toilet, elsan and refuse disposal are available at the sanitary station approximately half a mile north of the moorings, close to Bridge 165A Bluebird Bridge in the town centre. This is a leisure site and is determined by us to be a mooring site for the storage of boats between leisure use, customers may well spend weekends on this site, and occasionally longer periods, but it is not sold as, or intended to be suitable for long term residential use. This site does not have local authority planning consent for residential use, neither does it have the level of facilities and service expected of such a mooring. As such the offer that we have is only intended to meet the needs of a leisure boater.
