Shipton-on-Cherwell is a small village situated just 9 kilometres from Oxford City Centre. The mooring site is adjacent to Shipton Church. This is a perfect starting point for boaters wishing to explore the stunning Oxfordshire and south Northamptonshire countryside or to connect to the River Thames at Oxford.
The linear site is 90 metres long and provides space for up to 5 boats.

- The mooring site is adjacent to the Church in Shipton-on-Cherwell and is approximately 75 metres south of Bridge 220, Shipton Bridge. To reach the site from the main A4260, Banbury to Oxford road, take the road signposted Shipton-on-Cherwell. The village centre and Church are approximately 500 metres from this junction.
The site is accessed by foot only, taking the public footpath through the Churchyard.
The large village of Kidlington is approximately two miles south of the mooring site where there are excellent facilities including shops, supermarkets, post office and medical services. Oxford city centre is approximately eight miles away, also to the south.

- Facilities, drinking water, rubbish bins and elsan disposal, are available on the offside of the canal at Thrupp, approximately 600 metres to the south of the site. This is provided by and under the control of the local waterway, they do not form part of the mooring agreement.
A pump-out is also available, by arrangement with Thrupp Canal Cruising Club.
There is no designated parking for this site so moorers must make alternative arrangements.
The mooring site has a partly stoned path and a wide grass verge running along its length.
This is a leisure site and is determined by us to be a mooring site for the storage of boats between leisure use, customers may well spend weekends on this site, and occasionally longer periods, but it is not sold as, or intended to be suitable for long term residential use. This site does not have local authority planning consent for residential use, neither does it have the level of facilities and service expected of such a mooring. As such the offer that we have is only intended to meet the needs of a leisure boater.
