Nestled between Sparrowgap Bridge (Bridge 223) and Langford Lane Bridge (Bridge 224), the site offers a convenient yet tranquil base along the Oxford Canal.
This is a perfect location for boaters looking to explore the scenic Oxfordshire countryside, enjoy local village charm, or connect with the River Thames via Oxford. With easy access to both nature and the city, Gunpowder Wharf is an ideal spot for relaxed mooring with plenty of adventure close by.
The site is 60 metres long and provides space for up to 3 boats.

- The site is between Sparrowgap Bridge (Bridge 223) and Langford Lane Bridge (Bridge 224). This small mooring site is approximately half a mile from the village of Kidlington and is within 10 miles of Oxford city centre. The busy A4260 runs alongside the site and there is a very frequent bus service into Oxford.

- The nearest facilities, including drinking water, elsan and refuse disposal, are at Langford Lane mooring site, approximately 200 metres south along the towpath. Facilities are for the use of all boaters and are provided by and under the control of the local waterway, they do not form part of the mooring agreement. Mooring rings are installed at this site but mooring pins may be needed dependent on boat length and the spacing of the rings. This site is intended for leisure use. Overnight stays and occasional longer visits are welcome, but it is not suitable for full-time residential use and lacks planning consent or infrastructure for long-term living What3Words: ///alternative.scouting.blanking
