Located within a mile of the charming village of Wolvercote, the moorings at Dukes Lock offer a peaceful yet well-connected setting along the Oxford Canal. Access is via the towpath, either from Bridge 235 (Wolvercote Road Bridge) or Bridge 230 (Kings Bridge), making it easy to reach by foot or bike.

This is an ideal location for boaters who want to enjoy the best of both worlds—exploring the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside while being within cruising distance of the historic city of Oxford. Just below the site lies Dukes Lock, offering access to the River Thames. A little further south, around four miles away, Isis Lock marks the end of the Oxford Canal and also connects directly to the Thames.

The mooring site is at Dukes Lock, Lock 44, approximately 75 metres north of Dukes Cut, which connects the Oxford Canal with the River Thames. Access to the site is along the towpath from either Bridge 235, Wolvercote Road Bridge - Godstow Road, approximately half a mile to the south, or from Bridge 230, Kings Bridge - A44 Woodstock Road, approximately half a mile north. Local services, including bus links to Oxford city centre, are available in Wolvercote, approximately 1 mile away. Oxford is within 3 miles of the site.

Additional Information
There are several drinking water taps along the towpath. The nearest refuse and elsan disposal facilities are approximately 700 metres south of the site, near to Bridge 234, Perrys Bridge. The aforementioned facilities are provided by and under the control of the local waterway, they do not form part of the mooring agreement. Car parking is not available at this site so moorers must make alternative arrangements. The site is 250 metres long. This is a leisure site and is determined by us to be a mooring site for the storage of boats between leisure use, customers may well spend weekends on this site, and occasionally longer periods, but it is not sold as, or intended to be suitable for long term residential use. This site does not have local authority planning consent for residential use, neither does it have the level of facilities and service expected of such a mooring.
