Historically, Lisson Grove was an unloading point for barges delivering coal to feed the adjacent electricity station.
Now it is a charming, well established mooring site - one of the largest managed by the Canal & River Trust in London, and one of few situated on the towpath-side.
Well located for local amenities and public transport, Lisson Grove is also within easy walking distance of Lords Cricket Ground, Camden Lock Market and the 395 acres of green space comprising Regent's Park.
The moorings are located between Lisson Grove, from which there is a steep ramped access to the towpath, and Park Road, which offers stepped access.

16amp Electricity is provided to each berth by Smart Meters where electricty is purchased via an online account. Also provided are water and at most berths a phone line (for which the berth holder arranges connection with a telecoms provider).
Refuse, elsan and pump out are available at the nearby Little Venice facilities under the control of the local waterway, they do not form part of the mooring agreement, approximately 20 minutes' walk from the moorings.
The mooring site is gated and is locked overnight to restrict access to permit holders only.
Storage facilities are not provided.
All customer items must be stored on boats and not on any of the surrounding land areas/pontoons.
This is a leisure site and is determined by us to be a mooring site for the storage of boats between leisure use, customers may well spend weekends on this site, and occasionally longer periods, but it is not sold as, or intended to be suitable for long term residential use. This site does not have local authority planning consent for residential use, neither does it have the level of facilities and service expected of such a mooring. As such the offer that we have is only intended to meet the needs of a leisure boater.
The mooring site may be viewed from the towpath during the daytime opening hours.
