Shade House Lock Moorings are located on the Trent & Mersey Canal close to Lichfield in Staffordshire. Fradley Junction and the start of the Coventry Canal is within a short cruise.
The mooring site is approximately 125m long and provides space for up to four vessels moored on the off-bank side.

- To reach the site from the A38 Lichfield / Derby truck road, take the Alrewas junction and travel west along the A513 towards Kings Bromley. After approximately two miles turn left into Hay End Lane at Orgreave. Immediately before the canal bridge turn right. Follow the access road past the pub and the site is located between Middle Lock and Shade House Lock.

- The nearest facilities, including drinking water, refuse and elsan disposal, are available within the Canal & River Trust site at Fradley Junction. Facilities Block and/or waste bins are provided by and under the control of the local waterway, they do not form part of the mooring agreement. A pay and display car park and cafe can also be found at the Fradley Junction site. A public house is within walking distance of the site, next to the canal junction. Lichfield is five miles to the south. Leisure Use Only. This site is intended for leisure use. Overnight stays and occasional longer visits are welcome, but it is not suitable for full-time residential use and lacks planning consent or infrastructure for long-term living.
