Willington L1 Leisure

Willington is a village located on the banks of the Trent & Mersey Canal in South Derbyshire. The site is well located being just eight miles from Derby and five and a half miles from Burton Upon Trent.

A number of services are available in Willington village, including a supermarket, chemist, pubs, post office and railway station.

The site is split in to two sections and provides space for 20 vessels moored on the off-side.

Willington moorings are directly off Findern Lane. This road links Willington (approximately 500 metres to the south) and Findern (approximately two miles to the north east) and is accessed from Etwall Road.

Additional Information

All of the site facilities can be found either in or beside the facilities block which is beside the winding hole.

The site is protected by fencing and a padlocked gate. Keys are available to berth holders only for a refundable deposit of 50 pounds. Deposits will be refunded when keys are returned with a valid receipt.

Facilities Block and/or waste bins are provided by and under the control of the local waterway, they do not form part of the mooring agreement.

Car Parking - an open car park provided by the local waterway, moorers can use it but they do not have any priority over others at this site.

This is a leisure site and is determined by us to be a mooring site for the storage of boats between leisure use, customers may well spend weekends on this site, and occasionally longer periods, but it is not sold as, or intended to be suitable for long term residential use. This site does not have local authority planning consent for residential use, neither does it have the level of facilities and service expected of such a mooring. As such the offer that we have is only intended to meet the needs of a leisure boater.

The site can be view from the towpath on the opposite side of the canal. Whilst at the site, please respect the privacy of other moorers.
