Willington L1 is located on the Trent & Mersey Canal in South Derbyshire, just 500 metres north of Willington village and 8 miles southwest of Derby. The site lies directly off Findern Lane, which links Willington and Findern and is accessed from Etwall Road.

This site is intended for boat storage between leisure trips. Weekend stays and occasional longer visits are welcome, but it is not suitable for residential use and lacks planning consent or infrastructure for long-term living.

Additional Information
All of the site facilities can be found either in or beside the facilities block which is beside the winding hole. The site is protected by fencing and a padlocked gate. Keys are available to berth holders only for a refundable deposit of 50 pounds. Deposits will be refunded when keys are returned with a valid receipt. Facilities Block and/or waste bins are provided by and under the control of the local waterway, they do not form part of the mooring agreement. Car Parking - an open car park provided by the local waterway, moorers can use it but they do not have any priority over others at this site. This is a leisure site and is determined by us to be a mooring site for the storage of boats between leisure use, customers may well spend weekends on this site, and occasionally longer periods, but it is not sold as, or intended to be suitable for long term residential use. This site does not have local authority planning consent for residential use, neither does it have the level of facilities and service expected of such a mooring.
