Cranfleet L1 is a short navigational cut off the River Trent, located just south of Long Eaton. It offers excellent access to the Midlands waterways network, including the Erewash Canal, Trent & Mersey Canal, and River Soar. Nottingham, Derby, and Loughborough are all within easy reach by car.

- To reach the site turn onto Meadow Lane and follow the road over the level crossing. In approximately 400 yards bear right at Trent Meadows onto Pasture Lane. Follow this lane for approximately half a mile, turning right at the sign post marked Cranfleet Lock and Moorings. Follow this lane for approximately 300 yards into the site car park. A standard CRT key may be needed to unlock the gate.

Facilities & Services
- The water point is located on the towpath lock approach.
- Further facilities, including elsan disposal, can be found at Trent Lock, approximately half a mile to the west.
Elsan disposal facilities and waste bins are provided by and under the control of the local waterway authority. These facilities do not form part of the mooring agreement.
Car Parking
An open car park is provided by the local waterway. Moorers may use it, but they do not have any priority over other users at this site.
Local Area
Nottingham Yacht Club moorings and the members' clubhouse are located nearby.
The nearby Erewash Canal offers a scenic route through the Nottinghamshire countryside that inspired D. H. Lawrence, passing through small towns and villages on the outskirts of Nottingham.
The canal is popular for walking and cycling in peaceful, green surroundings. It experiences less boating traffic than many other canals, making it an attractive choice for those seeking a quieter cruising experience.
Trent Lock, where the canal joins the River Trent, is both a major waterways crossroads and a popular picnic location. Further north, Nutbrook Junction and Trowell Marsh provide nature reserve areas with woodland, grassland and wetland habitats that are ideal for wildlife spotting.

- Buy It Now Listings: The mooring agreement is scheduled to begin 2 weeks after the Buy It Now purchase date unless otherwise specified.

Your mooring invoice will only be issued once your application has been fully processed and all requirements have been met.
