Pontoons, Power & Water

  • The moorings are on rise and fall pontoons.
  • Each berth has electricity provided through Smart Meters, with payment made via an online portal.
  • There are two water points servicing the four moorings.

Access

The site is secured by a padlocked gate which requires a standard BW key.

Elsan & Waste

  • Elsan disposal is located at Grand Sluice Lock (approximately 400m away).
  • Elsan disposal and/or waste bins are provided by and under the control of the local waterway and do not form part of the mooring agreement.

Car Parking

There is some car parking approximately 400m away for general public use. Spaces cannot be reserved for moorers.

An open car park is provided by the local waterway. Moorers may use it, but they do not have any priority over other users at this site.

Seasonal Water Level Changes

The Environment Agency lowers the level of the River Witham during the winter months for flood alleviation. Craft moored at the site may therefore be grounded during the winter period.

  • This is a leisure mooring site intended for the storage of boats between periods of leisure use.
  • Customers may spend weekends or occasional longer periods on site.
  • The site is not sold or intended for long-term residential use.
  • The site does not have local authority planning consent for residential occupation.

Start Dates

  • Auction listings: The mooring agreement is scheduled to begin 15 days after the auction closing date unless an alternative start date is stated in the vacancy details.
  • Buy It Now listings: The mooring agreement is scheduled to begin 2 weeks after the Buy It Now purchase date unless otherwise specified.
