Dowley Gap moorings are positioned on a lovely stretch of the Leeds & Liverpool Canal, a short cruise away from the Unesco World Heritage town of Saltaire and the popular local beauty spot of Hirst Wood.
Bingley Five Rise Locks one of the 'seven wonders of the waterways' are also close by.
There is a local public house called The Fisherman's Inn and shopping available in the nearby towns of Bingley and Saltaire.

Nearest facilities are based approximately 3km away at Bingley Five Rise and comprise of a water point, toilet, shower and elsan disposal.
Facilities blocks and / or waste bins are provided by and under the control of the local waterway, they do not form part of the mooring agreement
Car Parking - an open car park is available close to Dowley Gap top lock. This is provided by the local waterway for all canal users, mooring customers can use it but they do not have any priority over others at this site. Please note parking is not allowed along Dodd Kiln Lane at anytime.
This is a leisure site and is determined by us to be a mooring site for the storage of boats between leisure use, customers may well spend weekends on this site, and occasionally longer periods, but it is not sold as, or intended to be suitable for long term residential use. This site does not have local authority planning consent for residential use, neither does it have the level of facilities and service expected of such a mooring. As such the offer that we have is only intended to meet the needs of a leisure boater.
